Dynamos
Bike dynamos are also called light machines and are small generators, which produce current to fuel the lights of your bike while riding. This means, that the lighting is only on during the ride. Not all dynamos are equally efficient. Therefore, you should pay attention to low rotation frequency and favour integrated ball bearings. Road Traffic Licensing Regulations require a dynamo to have a maximum voltage of 6 volts and a maximum output of 3 watt. There are different types of dynamos, for example hub dynamos and side runner dynamos.
