The shift and brake levers are the controls a biker needs to be able to operate perfectly. There are two levers: one each for shifting up and down. Gears can be shifted with a short contact, requiring very little force. The lever for the chain rings in the front is located on the left side of the handlebar, while the right side of the handlebar is occupied by the lever for the pinions of the rear wheel. An optical display is showing which gear is currently engaged. You can operate the brake lever with only 2 or 3 fingers, so that you are able to keep the balance properly.
